I’m a social media strategist based in Astoria, Queens. I founded lowercase d consulting in 2013 to help small business owners reach customers and promote their products and services using social media. Today’s social networks are powerful platforms for getting the word out about your business, but it can be challenging to understand the impact of your efforts. Through a strategic assessment and clear, easy to understand reporting powered by strong analytics, I answer the question of how best to create and manage an effective social presence.
Before founding lowercase d, I served as Managing Editor for The Social Media Monthly, a print magazine and blog devoted to covering the many ways in which social media is changing our world today. Prior to that, I was the IT Director for an international development organization for a decade. I also recently served on the Board of Directors for Idealware, a nonprofit that helps other nonprofits select the best software for their needs.
I’m a rare hybrid technologist who is as much a communicator as she is a geek. An analytical thinker by nature, I enjoy puzzles and problem-solving. As a writer, I gain great satisfaction through simply and effectively communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical people. I bring both of these qualities to my role as a social media strategist, demystifying tech for my clients while crafting posts that clearly and elegantly represent their brands.
